Call Me Queen 👑

At this Moonlight Movie Night, we are thrilled to be screening Call Me Queen. 🎬

A powerful 2026 drama directed by Emily Atef, set in Nairobi during the 1999 AIDS crisis. Based on Lara Santoro’s novel Mercy, it follows the deep bond between a Rwandan single mother (Eliane Umuhire) and an Irish journalist (Denise Gough) as they fight pharmaceutical companies and systemic injustice for life-saving medical treatment.

A story of courage, friendship and hope.
