Live Nyinshii: Kigali’s Highest Vibration Live Music Series Returns with "Ubuvanganzo"

Live Nyinshii, translating to "A lot of Live" also referred to as 'Kigali's highest vibration live music series,' is a music residency envisioned by the renowned Rwandan singer, songwriter, and theater actress Kaya Byinshii.

Dubbed "The Volcano" for her powerful and unique artistry, Byinshii aims to revive Kigali's live music scene by creating this "place to be" for quality, niche musical experiences bi-monthly.

According to Byinshii, this residency is a vessel for the audience and musicians to vent, live, and exchange energy to bring light to each other. During the residency, Byinshii and her band, and occasionally international and local guests, will bring a refreshing, unique style varying from blues, jazz, soul, experimental, and world music high-quality experience, making it a cultural hub for music lovers and creative souls.

This time, themed after “Ubuvanganzo”, we will witness a marriage between traditional instruments and rhythms and hip hop, with the main focus on text. Writing, and rhythm.
