Live Nyinshii, translating to "A lot of Live" also referred to as 'Kigali's highest vibration live music series,' is a music residency envisioned by the renowned Rwandan singer, songwriter, and theater actress Kaya Byinshii.

Dubbed "The Volcano" for her powerful and unique artistry, Byinshii aims to revive Kigali's live music scene by creating this "place to be" for quality, niche musical experiences every once a month. Through her music arrangement and compositions, her music often explores themes of spirituality, self-discovery, and resilience, with songs like “Be. Li. Eve” and “Folie Douce” reflecting her introspective style rooted in blues, soul, and her sultry voice.

Byinshii's notable works include but are not limited to documentary music compositions for "La Curiosite", shared stages with jazz legends Erik Truffaz and Kahil El-Zabar, Opening Festival Musique Métisses 2024, Access 2024, Kigali Triennial 2024 curated by Khadja Nin, and 2023 Africa Tour across ten cities, including Algiers, Oran, Annaba, Addis Ababa, Djibouti, Nairobi, etc.

According to Byinshii, this residency is a vessel for the audience and musicians to vent, live, and exchange energy to bring light to each other. During the residency, Byinshii and her band, and occasionally international and local guests, will bring a refreshing, unique style varying from blues, jazz, soul, experimental, and world music high-quality experience, making it a cultural hub for music lovers and creative souls.
