Live Nyinshii, translating to "A lot of Live" is a music residency envisioned by the renowned Rwandan singer, songwriter, and theater actress Kaya Byinshii, where the musicians and audience become alive.

Dubbed "The Volcano" for her powerful and unique artistry, Byinshii aims to revive Kigali's nightlife and music scene by creating this "place to be" for quality, niche musical experiences every twice a month. Through her music arrangement and compositions, Byinshii brings a deep spiritual inspiration rooted in blues, roots, and expressionism of human behavior. Her recent single "Folie Douce encourages embracing life's chances and adventures, inspired by the mystery of time and space. 

Byinshii's notable works include but are not limited to music compositions for "La Curiosite" documentaries, shared stages with jazz legends Erik Truffaz, and Kahil El-Zabar, Opening Festival Musique Metisses 2024, Kigali Triennial 2024 curated by Khadja Nin, and 2023 Africa Tour across ten cities including Algiers, Oran, Annaba, Addis Ababa, Djibouti, Nairobi, etc.

This residency will feature bi-monthly evening performances blending jazz, blues, soul, and experimental music. Kaya and her band and occasionally guest artists (local and international) will bring a refreshing, high-quality, and niche musical experience, making it a cultural hub for jazz lovers and creative souls.
